The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued revised guidelines, effective from the date of issue, to replace earlier directives from 2012 and 2016. These updated guidelines aim to facilitate the installation of a limited number of prototype wind turbines in India to promote type testing and certification, ensuring wind turbine models meet international standards before commercial deployment
The guidelines apply to all wind turbine manufacturers in India seeking to install prototype models for grid synchronization and type certification.
