Background: Petition under Section 43(2), 47, 61, 66, 86(1)(e) and Section 181 of the Electricity Act, 2003 read with Rules 11(4) and 11(5) of Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Rules, 2020 as well as Regulation 13 to 15 of the MPERC (Grid Interactive Renewable Energy Systems and Related Matters) Regulations, (Revision-II), 2024 (“GIRES Regulations”) seeking framing of requisite regulations and/or suitable amendments/relaxation to existing GIRES Regulations to the extent it relates to the waiver of processing fee, meter procurement fee, meter testing fees, requirement of net metering/gross metering agreement etc.
