Background: The present Review Petition has been filed by Hindalco Industries Ltd. seeking review of the Commission’s Judgment dated 07.11.2024 in SMP No. 45/2024. The Petitioner, who was the Respondent in the Suo Moto proceedings, contends that the impugned order suffers from errors apparent on the face of the record, particularly with respect to the computation of Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) for the 6th Unit (150 MW) of its Captive Power Plant (CPP) and adjustment of consumption of power generated from the Solar plant and Biomass at its Mahan Unit.
