The Indian government has waived inter-state transmission system (ISTS) charges for renewable energy sources, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and green hydrogen/ammonia projects until June 28, 2025. The waiver extends to Hydro Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) and co-located Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) commissioned before June 30, 2028, provided electricity is consumed outside the state of commissioning.
