NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited bids for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) package for the development of a 1100 MW / 3300 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the NTPC REL Khavda Solar Plant in Gujarat. The project will be implemented through a domestic competitive bidding process and aims to establish one of India's largest grid-connected energy storage facilities.
