NTPC Issues Tender for 2,670 MWh BESS Project across Nine Thermal Stations

NTPC Limited, a Government of India enterprise, has issued a major Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project across nine of its thermal power stations, known as EPC Package Lot-2. The project targets a total energy storage capacity of 2,670 MWh, including 1,000 MWh at Barauni, 320 MWh at Gadarwara, and 300 MWh at NTECL-Vallur, with six additional sites included.
