NTPC REL has issued a tender to develop a 2500 MW/10,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) across its thermal power stations, with a bid submission deadline of February 17, 2025. The project aims for a 20-year service life with 10 years of operation and maintenance. Each thermal plant will host 500 MW/2000 MWh of storage.
