1. The Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited, Bhubaneswar (OPTCL), a
Government Company registered on 29th March 2004 under the Companies Act, 1956 has
been carrying out the business of transmission of electricity within the State of Odisha. It
has also been notified as the State Transmission Utility (STU) under Section 39 (1) of the
Electricity Act, 2003 hereinafter referred to as “the Act”.
