Background: Petition under Regulations 19 and 21 of the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Transaction of Business) Regulations, 2021, read with Regulation 94 of the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Determination of Tariff) Regulations, 2025, and Sections 61, 86(1)(a) , and 181(2)(zd) of the Electricity Act, 2003, for the amendment of the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Determination of Tariff) Regulations, 2025, to allow Additional Capitalisation on account of Renovation and Modernization for generating stations that have exhausted their useful life, and Special Allowance for coal-based thermal generating stations as an alternative to the Additional Capitalisation of R&M costs.
