Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd (RRECL) has launched a tender for 201 MW of grid-connected solar projects under the Virtual Net Metering (VNM) framework to supply clean power to Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) water-supply connections across the state. The tender, issued on June 12, 2026, represents the first phase of a larger 500 MW PHED solarisation programme aimed at reducing electricity costs and improving the financial sustainability of one of Rajasthan’s largest power-consuming public services.
