Background: These draft regulations are given by Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC). The TNERC is issuing draft regulations to verify the status of CGPs. These regulations are based on Supreme Court rulings. CGPs are power plants that generate electricity for a user’s own use.
