Background: Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited has filed a Petition dated 30.06.2026 under Section 86(1)(b) of the Electricity Act, 2003 read with Regulations 12 and 53 of the UERC (Tariff and Other Terms for Supply of Electricity from Renewable Energy Sources and Non-Fossil Fuel Based Co-generating Stations) Regulations, 2023 Regulation 59 of the UERC (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2014 and the applicable Ministry of Power Guidelines, seeking removal of the regulatory difficulty arising on account of revision of the benchmark Capacity Charge after conclusion of the competitive bidding process and issuance of the Letters of Award (loA), and for permitting implementation of the concluded procurement process under the benchmark Capacity Charge determined by the Commission vide Order dated 06.
