Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVNL) has issued a tender for the development of a 60 MW/150 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to be implemented across three locations in Uttarakhand. The project will be executed on a Build, Own and Transfer (BOOT) basis through a single bid divided into three packages, each located near existing hydroelectric power plants to enhance grid flexibility and regional coverage.
