The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has requested domestic manufacturers to provide details of their grid-forming (GFM) inverter production capacity. This move aims to strengthen grid stability amid rising renewable energy penetration, including solar and wind. Manufacturers must submit production estimates, costs, and specifications for central and string inverters ranging from 10 kW to over 1 MW by February 10, 2026.
