The Department of Power West Bengal has initiated a major energy infrastructure push by inviting bids for developing 500 MW / 2000 MWh of standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the state. The project is being implemented on behalf of West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited under a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model.
