CEA Seeks Data on 73 Imported Critical Power Items

The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has identified 73 critical power-sector items that India currently relies on imports for, due to technology gaps, insufficient domestic manufacturing capacity, or lack of economies of scale. This initiative is part of CEA’s broader effort to strengthen domestic manufacturing, reduce import dependence, and enhance India’s energy security in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
