Background:
The Petitioner, NHPC Limited (in short, “NHPC”) has filed this Petition for truing-up of tariff of Salal Power Station (690 MW) (in short, “generating station”) for the period 2019-24 in terms of Section 15(1)(a), 18, 23 of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2023 (in short “CBR Regulations 2023”) and Regulation 13, 25, 26, 31(3), 34(3), 35(2) of the CERC (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) Regulations, 2019 (in short, “2019 Tariff Regulations”) and for determination of tariff of the generating station for the period 2024-29, in accordance with Section 15 (1)(a), 18, 23 of the CBR Regulations 2023 and Regulation 9(2), 10(1), 12, 25, 26, 36(2), 65(7), 65(8) and 91 of the CERC (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) Regulations, 2024 (in short, “2024 Tariff Regulations”) read with Section 62(1)(a) and 79(1)(a) of the Electricity Act, 2003 (in short “Act).
