Background:
The Petitioner, Saranyu Power Trading Company Pvt. Ltd. (formerly known as ‘IPCL Power Trading Pvt. Ltd.’), has filed the present Application for down-gradation of inter-State trading licence in electricity from Category ‘III’ to Category ‘V’ from the date of coming into effect of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Procedure, Terms and Conditions for grant of trading license and other related matter) Regulations, 2020 (‘Trading Licence Regulations, 2020’).
