The Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) for the procurement of energy from 282.50 MW / 1130 MWh Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) under a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support. The tender is being floated jointly by MPPMCL and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), making it one of the largest state-led battery storage procurements in India.
