Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) has issued two tenders for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) at two Telangana substations—Maheswaram and Choutuppal. Each system will have a capacity of 187.5 MW/750 MWh, cumulatively totaling 375 MW/1,500 MWh.
