In terms of Section 86 of the Electricity Act 2003, the Commission has been regulating the tariff of generating companies that supply power to the State discoms. The regulation of tariff is carried out in two ways, namely, the determination of tariff under Section 62 and the adoption tariff under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003.
