TNERC: Petition by CE, TNGECL for power procurement from Grid connected 15MW solar PV with 45MWh BESS at Karur

Background: The PPAP has been filed by Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) and Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003, seeking approval of the tariff discovered through tariff-based competitive bidding and permission for issuance of Letter of Award (LoA), execution of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and execute the Power Sale Agreement (PSA) for the procurement of power from a Grid Connected 15 MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Project integrated with a 45 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) proposed to be established in Karur District, Tamil Nadu under the Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model.
