The government has issued detailed guidelines for establishing Electric Vehicle Public Charging Stations (EV PCS) under the PM E-DRIVE scheme, allocating ₹2,000 crore for charging infrastructure. The goal is to make EV charging as accessible as refueling, with chargers placed in high-traffic, everyday locations like government offices, hospitals, airports, metro stations, malls, parking lots, fuel stations, and highways.
